    Hector can run 400m in time period of 66 seconds

    So, speed of Hector = Total distance ÷ Total time

    = 400/66 => 6.06 m/s

    So if we want to prove he can run 5km in 14 mins

    Then Speed = Total distance / Total time

    6.06 m/s = Total distance / 840 (convert mins in sec )

    Transpose 840 then,

    6.06 × 840 = Total distance

    5090.4 meters = Total distance

    5.09 km

    Hence, proved that Hector could run 5km in 14 mins
